The childhood cancer burden is strongly related to level of development, with high incidence in high-income countries but higher mortality in low-income countries, according to the Cancer Atlas.

More than 80% of childhood disease patients in high-income countries survive 5 years after their diagnosis. In many low-income countries, in contrast, the outlook is much less favorable because of suboptimal access to care, late diagnosis, treatment abandonment, inadequacy of therapy, and the financial burden. Even if children and adolescents survive, more than 50% of long-term survivors of childhood cancer experience chronic health conditions.

As a result, we need you. We help families, children and youth rise in under deserving communities in developing countries where the access to medicine, emotional and spiritual support is sometimes nonexistent, and if so, the costs are quite high. Partner with us by giving one or multiple times per year, or become a monthly donor. DONATE TODAY!
